Manchester Corporate Events Agency to Produce Program for Architecture,
Construction and Engineering Student Mentoring Organization
Manchester, NH, June 9, 2005 – Brainium,
Inc., the corporate event agency, has been selected to produce the first
annual awards banquet for the ACE Mentor Program of America. The event
will be held on October 19, 2005 at the Capitol Hilton Hotel in Washington,
DC.
The ACE Mentor program serves high school juniors and seniors who are exploring
careers in architecture, construction and engineering. The awards program will
recognize several organizations for their contributions to the ACE Mentor program,
including the Associated General Contractors of America, the American Institute
of Architects, the Construction Industry Institute, the Construction Users Roundtable,
and McGraw-Hill Construction.
As producer of the event, Brainium will work with the ACE team to design
the overall event experience for the audience of 400 construction industry
executives.
Brainium is developing the overall “look and feel” for the program,
producing event invitations and collateral, handling public relations duties,
directing the staging and audio/visual, and producing video segments. Branding
initiatives established for the program will also be utilized nationwide following
the event.
“ We are extremely pleased to be working with the ACE Mentor Program on
this first annual event,” said Pete Lecours, chief events brain for Brainium. “The
mentoring program, now celebrating its 10th year anniversary, is such a great
way for students to gain real-world experience into construction-related careers.
We’re just very proud to have been given the opportunity to help the organization
further its mission and produce a great event recognizing many of today’s
leaders in the construction industry.”
Each ACE chapter consists of a mentoring team that includes a local university,
an architecture firm, a general contractor, and an engineering firm. The 15-week
after-school program provides the opportunity for participating students to learn
about the construction industry while working on a real-world construction project.
The program also awards scholarships to students interested in pursuing professional
careers in the construction industry.
