Chief Events Brain to Discuss Marketing Agencies' Expanding Roles
in Event Management and Production
Manchester, NH, March 18, 2005 – Brainium,
Inc., the experiential marketing agency, has announced
that Pete Lecours, chief events brain and co-founder of the five year-old agency,
has been selected to speak at the New England Meetings Industry Conference and
Exposition (NEMICE).
Mr. Lecours will participate in a panel session entitled "Marketing, Advertising
and PR: A Seat at the Meeting Table?" With more than 15 years experience
in event management, marketing communications and experiential marketing, Lecours
will offer key insights into how experience-based marketing initiatives can greatly
increase the effectiveness of corporate events. NEMICE will take place on April
13-14, 2005 at the new Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Over 2,000 meeting
planners and event suppliers are expected to attend the 19th annual event.
"I am excited to be able to speak to the members of MPI/New England about
experiential marketing and
what it can offer to event planners," said Lecours. Increasingly, traditional
marketing, advertising and public relations agencies are moving into the event
management space. For many, their keen sense of branding has created a natural
extension of services to their clients, along with a new revenue stream. "Event
and meeting planners are wondering if these agencies 'have what it takes' to
develop and implement successful events," continued Lecours. "I'm here
to let them know that events offer the unique opportunity to interface with clients
directly, and that marketing and brand managers simply cannot let these opportunities
be handled
by someone that may not have enough knowledge of the brand."
