McGraw-Hill
Construction 67th Annual Outlook Executive Conference
October 2005
THE CHALLENGE
McGraw-Hill Construction was holding its 67th annual
Outlook Executive Conference, to provide construction industry executives with
the information they will need to set their course for 2006. The executive-level
event is held annually at the Capital Hilton Hotel in Washington, D.C., and one
of the biggest challenges faced by McGraw-Hill each year is to provide the content
needed by construction industry executives, so that they will make the decision
to attend the Outlook Executive Conference, versus competing events offered by
other industry groups. And with Hurricanes Katrina and Wilma, additional content
needed to be added at the last minute.
THE SOLUTION
Brainium worked with the McGraw-Hill Construction
event team to produce an information-packed event. Speakers from Standard & Poor’s,
J.D. Power and Associates and The American Institute of Architects provided
insight into economic and construction outlooks for 2006. And The Honorable
Henry Cisneros, former U.S. Secretary of Housing and Urban Development,
delivered the keynote address,
discussing the prospects and pitfalls
facing America’s cities in 2006.
RESULTS
Over 300 construction industry leaders attended
the event. Amy Katz, Director of Trade Shows & Events Marketing for
McGraw-Hill Construction, said “thanks for everything! As usual,
the event was flawless…thanks for making me look good!”
